Level 1 (Beginner 1)
This course is designed for students who have no or little background in learning Korean.
This course will introduce the Korean alphabet ‘Hangeul’ focusing on the phonetic value of each letter and the characteristics of syllable structure.
In the 2nd part, this course will focus on providing students with a foundation for acquiring their basic Korean language skills using grammar and vocabulary. Also, students will learn to improve their communication skills with familiar topics in daily life such as greetings, self-introduction, and daily activities etc. Students are also expected to raise their understanding of Korean culture through their language experience in class.
Level 2 (Beginner 2)
This course is designed for students who have completed level 1 in Korean or students who are equivalent to this level.
Students who understand and speak basic words and expressions.
The purpose of this class is to develop the ability to communicate with familiar topics in everyday life. At this level, students will learn the various conjunctive endings, markers, expressions, and vocabulary that are used in daily life. Students are also expected to raise their understanding of Korean culture through their language experience in class.
Level 3 (Intermediate 1)
Your language skill refers to being able to speak a language but with some difficulty. You can't speak with the speed of a native and your vocabulary is still limited.
In this course, you will be able to build on your current vocabulary and improve your understanding of grammar and context. Also covers cultural aspects of language conversation to aid you in understanding words and phrases in context.
Level 4 (Intermediate 2)
This course is designed to focus on speaking and listening practice. Aimed to develop accuracy and fluency through communicative activities and activities testing language knowledge.
Many grammar patterns and words learned in the previous levels will be repeated. The topic-based lesson helps learners to understand the Korean language and society from an intercultural perspective.
Through this course, students can use what they have learned more fluently, and as a result, students gain confidence.
